It is with great sadness that we have to say Geoff Long is retiring as a chiropractor at the end of this year.
Geoff has been an incredible servant to the chiropractic profession for over 3o years.
He has worked tirelessly as a chiropractor of the highest standard, providing care that goes way beyond that normally expected from a clinician.
The level and breadth of knowledge Geoff brings to his work is breath-taking, covering topics from pharmacology to strength and conditioning.
Geoff has also acted as a mentor to many other chiropractors, having been selected by the Royal College of Chiropractors on the basis of his outstanding acumen (a role Beth Rawlings has also been selected for).
Geoff has worked in Gloucester, his home town, for approximately 27 years, but has worked at our Worcester clinic for even longer.
Those who have met him will know that he has an acid sense of humour and scalpel wit, as well as an encyclopaedic knowledge and everlasting memory.
His dependability, character and expertise will be greatly missed at Gloucester Chiropractors.
We are proud to have been able to call Geoff our colleague, and each one of us has benefited enormously from working with him.
If you are a patient of Geoff’s we will contact you shortly to let you know how your care will be affected.
In most instances, patients will transfer to Jason Cott, who has a similar wide-ranging scope to Geoff.
While we are sad to see Geoff go, nobody deserves their retirement more.
Geoff’s retirement also marks a changing of the guard, ushering in the next chapter for Gloucester Chiropractors, where we hope to grow and develop into the county’s first choice MSK healthcare facility.
There’s lots of work in front of us, and we are going to greatly miss Geoff’s impact, but times ahead are also very exciting.
