Tom Cairns MChiro DC

Tom Cairns — Sciatica Relief & Preventative Care Specialist

Translating complex pain into simple, highly effective solutions.

Tom has built a reputation for his exceptional ability to treat Sciatica and Lower Back Pain, breaking down complex medical jargon into simple, actionable steps for his patients. He has completed the rigorous PRT programme with the Royal College of Chiropractors and is constantly refining his adjusting techniques, traveling the country to observe other top chiropractors and complete seminars.

Tom believes there is a massive gap between how people do care for their bodies and how they could. His goal is to pre-empt pain, injury, and daily wear-and-tear, enabling his patients to live a much fuller, more enjoyable life for far longer than they thought possible.

When he’s not in the clinic: Tom is our resident “mega-walker.” If he isn’t in the clinic, he is likely hiking or camping his way across the Cotswolds, the mountains of Wales, or the Lake District.

Beth Rawlings MChiro MBCA DC

Beth Rawlings — Pregnancy, Paediatric & Hypermobility Expert

Empowering you with the tools to take control of your pain.

With 13 years of experience, Beth is widely renowned both inside and outside the profession for her exceptional work in Pregnancy Pain, Paediatric Care and treating hypermobile patients. She is a highly respected Faculty Member and Mentor for the Royal College of Chiropractors (RCC), and is fully certified in advanced techniques like dry-needling.

Beth views chiropractic care as an incredibly underutilised tool that people can use not just to treat painful episodes, but to avoid them entirely. She is passionate about coaching her patients, equipping them with self-management strategies so they can stay active and pain-free on their own terms.

When she’s not in the clinic: Beth balances an incredibly active lifestyle. She power-lifts at a local gym, practices Pilates, and spends her downtime riding her horse or walking her dog on Cleeve Hill. When she finally sits down, she is a voracious reader, consuming over 80 books a year.

James Lloyd MChiro DC

James qualified through the University of South Wales, completing their five-year Masters in chiropractic full-time. Five years is a long haul by anyone’s standards, and it takes a certain sort of person to see it through.

Although he grew up in Worcester and still practises there, James now spends much of his week with patients here in Gloucester. He spent a good deal of his student years observing in clinic alongside us, which means he arrived already familiar with how we work and what we expect — a rare thing in a newly qualified chiropractor.

What convinced us to bring James into the team was less his CV than his mindset. He has consistently sought out extra learning rather than waiting to be offered it, and that curiosity hasn’t slowed down since qualifying.

Golf is where his clinical interest sits. James is a serious player himself — county junior level, with European competition behind him — and that experience gives him an unusually practical grasp of what the body is actually doing through a swing, and where it tends to break down.

He’s keen to work with golfers across Gloucestershire, whatever their handicap, and has been building on that specialism with local club professionals and with chiropractors internationally.

In person, James is quietly self-assured rather than showy. Patients tend to warm to him quickly, and he has the clinical judgement to back that up.

David Cooper MChiro DC PGDip

David Cooper — Clinical Lead & Sports Performance Specialist

The clinical expert who helps you move better and age healthier.

David brings 15 years of clinical experience to the team. With a Post-Graduate Diploma in Football Medicine and a background working with athletes of every level—right up to Olympians and Premier League footballers—David’s expertise in Sports Performance and Injury Prevention is unmatched.

David firmly believes that proper musculoskeletal care is neglected in modern healthcare. His philosophy is that raising the standard of this care is societally transformative—enabling his patients to enjoy healthy, active, and pain-free aging.

When he’s not in the clinic: David practices what he preaches. You’ll usually find him mountain biking, playing tennis, playing the guitar, or walking Strider the Dalmatian. Most importantly, he is a dedicated dad kept constantly on his toes by an active 4-year-old.

Please note, David is currently not taking on new patients.

Harry Williams ITEC level 3 (Sports Massage)

Harry Williams | Clinical Massage Therapist

Massage Therapy with unrivalled precision

Harry is our resident massage therapist at Gloucester Chiropractors.

He is studying to become a chiropractor, having completed 3 of his 5 year course.

Harry holds a level 3 diploma in sports massage and a diploma in myofascial cupping.

Harry works directly with our chiropractors, providing treatment for soft-tissue components. The closeness of this relationship sets our massage therapy apart as a clinically focussed service.

Before embarking on his career in healthcare, Harry earned a degree in sociology and was part of the Gloucester Rugby Club Academy growing up.

Harry still trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but more commonly can be found on his allotment with his five children and two dogs. We don’t know how he has time either!
